The Atlanta United are in the most of another struggling season, however after their historic win over Inter Miami last Wednesday, the club looked to gain momentum, however they were quickly slowed down once again as they fell 3-2 to Charlotte on Sunday. With the loss, United finds themselves sitting at 4-4-8 in the standings and 13th in the Eastern Conference and on a five home match winless streak.

“It was a disaster,” Steak Shapiro said on Monday as he and Drew Butler shared their thoughts on United’s loss on The Steakhouse. As their conversation continued, they began to question if United manager, Gonzalo Pineda could possibly be let go by the club as they look for ways to change the current culture of the club. “The toughest thing for Gonzalo Pineda and if he is to survive this brutal stretch is the standard that Atlanta United holds themselves to,” Butler responded.

The former NFL punter would further explain that being one of Major League soccer’s leaders in attendance and the instant “excitement” the club built shortly after they began play in 2017, is quickly fading away and both Butler and Shapiro agree that that club has to find a way turn their situation around. “Atlanta United as a franchise is a top franchise in the world,” Shapiro said explaining that owner Arthur Smith and his staff have high expectation for the club that have to be lived up to.
