Is it time for the Braves to hit the panic button?

In the midst of a four-game losing streak, it might be time for the Braves to make a major move.

The Atlanta Braves capped off what was a frustrating week with an equally frustrating and disappointing loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. The 6-5 loss means that the Blue Jays have swept the Braves in three straight series dating back to 2021.

A large part of the Braves recent struggles come from a laundry list of injuries, specifically to their starting pitchers. Ian Anderson, Max Fried, and Kyle Wright have all missed multiple games this season. With all those missing arms the Braves had to turn to their bullpen on Sunday and and the result was less than satisfactory. Which begs the question, "What do the Braves do to get out of this skid?"

John Fricke stated on Sunday that it might be time for the Braves to start entertaining the idea of a major trade for starting pitcher.

Fricke went on to say, "You may have to move on from Vaughn Grissom...may have to move on from Travis d'Arnaud...but you have to bring in someone right now."

Finding a trade partner for a starting pitcher is no easy task. Its even harder to do in May when most teams are not looking to sell until we get closer to the trade deadline on August 1st.

However, a four-game losing streak could be the motivation Braves GM, Alex Anthopoulos needs to make a "bold move." The Braves still hold a comfortable lead atop the NL East, but the Phillies seem to be getting hot, while the Braves are playing their worst ball of the season.

Another starting pitcher could be a stabilizing force, as well as, help the Braves save their bullpen, which has been asked to do more than they were probably expecting heading into the season. Whatever, the answer is, the Braves need to find it before its too late.
