Tucker Davidson was given an opportunity on Tuesday evening and he took full advantage of it by tossing 5 scoreless innings against the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers. He also picked up the first win of his young Braves career.

Davidson, who was making his second start of the season for Atlanta, the first being in an 11-2 loss to the Nationals where he didn’t even get out of the third inning, seems set to be given another start when the rotation rolls over according to 92.9 The Game Braves Insider Joe Patrick.

"[Brian] Snitker was very pleased with the way Tucker Davidson threw the ball and not just the results. The aggression, going at hitters, throwing strikes, being efficient, and you hope that he can maintain that," says Patrick. "You hope Tucker Davidson can keep this going. But if not, you always have the option to revert back to Spencer Strider later in the season."

Davidson, who has started five games for Triple-A Gwinnett this season, is the latest starter to be given a chance to grab the fifth spot in the Braves rotation. Huascar Ynoa, Bryce Elder, and Kyle Muller were given chances before being sent back down to the minors.
