The Atlanta Hawks are 29-31 entering Tuesday's game against the Boston Celtics, and they haven't been at or above .500 since they were 14-14 on December 15.
After that game the Hawks' record the next month (Dec 17-Jan 15) was just 3-11, largely due to missing multiple players as the team was dealing with the effects of COVID and COVID protocols.
Atlanta Hawks GM Travis Schlenk takes stock of the team and how they've been better than their record states outside of the COVID stretch.
"When you break it down month by month, the one month that's killing us is December when we had all those COVID injuries. Other than that we haven't gone a month where we've been under .500. We've been pretty consistent around that mark."
The Hawks' record since January 17 has been 12-6 including blowout wins over the Charlotte Hornets, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and Toronto Raptors.
