Things got testy at halftime of Game 5 between Knicks, Hawks

The Knicks-Hawks playoff series has certainly had plenty of juice to hit and things got a bit testy at the end of the first half in Wednesday night’s Game 5 matchup.

As the half ended, Reggie Bullock appeared to exchange a few words with John Collins before heading to the locker. As Collins walked off and spoke with an official, Nerlens Noel and Solomon Hill had to be separated from one another as the two went at it at mid-court.

It is unclear what the spat was about, but Trae Young appeared to get bumped by Noel at the half, too, although the Hawks star was unbothered by it.

Tension has been brewing between these two teams all series.

Prior to Game 5, Hawks’ Clint Capela ramped up the trash talk by proclaiming that Atlanta was headed back to the Knicks’ house to send them on vacation.

The series has also featured plenty of emotion from fans of both sides, with Hawks fans targeting Julius Randle and Knicks fans taunting Trae Young.

The Hawks led at halftime, 52-48, and entered the second half with a chance to eliminate the Knicks and advance to the next round.

If there is a Game 6, though, the tension between the teams ought to be worth watching.
