Michael Penix Jr. settling into Falcons offense
Since making his season debut against the Green Packers, Michael Penix Jr. has led the Atlanta Falcons to a 3-2 record, including an upset win over the San Francisco 49ers in which he finished completing 25 passes of 34 attempts for 213 yards and three touchdowns, and to date has thrown for 1,157 yards, nine touchdowns and just one interception.
“I think Michael Penix [Jr.] may be taking that step as the best quarterback in this division,” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes said as he and cohost Mike Bell discussed the play of the third-year quarterback and why they believe he has displayed enough from a talent perspective to eventually be considered the top quarterback in the division.
