Looks like some pubic transportation changes may be coming to the southside of the ATL.
On Thursday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m., The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Board of Directors will hold an in-person public hearing to provide updates and receive comments on proposed service adjustments to bus routes 192 and 195 in Forest Park and Lake City in Clayton County. The meeting will be held at the Forest Park Community Center in Forest Park, and there will be an opportunity to attend virtually through MARTA's website or YouTube channel.
There will also be MARTA service planners available to answer questions about the proposed bus route changes in-person and virtually one hour before the hearing at 6 p.m.
Copies of the proposed bus route adjustments and maps are available for public viewing at MARTA Headquarters, 2424 Piedmont Road NE, Atlanta, 30324 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Public comments may be submitted no later than Thursday, Feb. 15, via voicemail at 404-848-5299, sent to MARTA's Office of External Affairs, 2424 Piedmont Road NE, Atlanta, Ga. 30324, or emailed to publichearinginfo@itsmarta.com.
If all goes well, the proposed bus route changes go into effect April 20.
