On Sunday, the likelihood of the Atlanta Falcons’ season coming to an end is all but sure to happen as last week’s loss to the Commanders has put them in a situation in which not only do they need to defeat the Panthers, they’ll have to rely on the Saints, who are currently a 13.5 underdog, to beat the Buccaneers.
So as what was a promising season looks to now be one in which the Falcons will fail to reach the playoffs for the seventh consecutive season, frustration by fans should be expected after the Falcons got off to a 6-3 start. However, on Thursday, when speaking with Mike Bell and Rob Tribble, Falcons’ head coach, Raheem Morris, addressed why he believes fans should remain faithful he is the man to lead the Falcons back to the post season.
“It’s not that Raheem doesn’t know what he’s doing, but it didn’t work,” Steak Shapiro said on Friday as he reacted to Morris’ response to Tribble’s questioning of fans keeping faith in him as the Falcons’ head coach. Noting he believes Morris is a good coach, Shapiro shared why Morris’ decision making does deserve some question and with the season likely to come to an end on Sunday, Morris should understand why fans, such as Bell, are expressing frustration with him.
“Raheem, I know you’re frustrated, but Mike Bell’s frustrated. He’s a season ticket holder. He’s spent 10’s of thousands of dollars and he’s spent seven years now investing in a product that can’t even make the playoffs. He has every right to be frustrated,” Shapiro added.
