Former NFL offensive lineman and current RADIO.COM NFL Insider Ross Tucker stopped by “Dukes & Bell” for his weekly appearance. He says he does not believe the Falcons should rest their best players in an effort to improve draft positioning for their Week 17 matchup with the Buccaneers.

“I’m not really a big fan of losing. The odds go up if you have the fifth pick as opposed to the ninth that you’ll draft a better player, but that does not mean you’re going to draft a better player.” Tucker said.

He added that the NFL is different from the NBA and other sports in that top picks are not always a guarantee for success.

“The NFL it’s not really like that. I mean you could easily if you’re picking seventh or eighth, that guy could be much better than the guy picked fourth or fifth. I’m not a big believer in the idea”
