Falcons have 'right mindset' to have winning season
The Atlanta Falcons have officially kicked off training camp and the day was not short of news worthy headlines. From Kevin Stefanski and Michael Penix Jr. verifying the third-year quarterback has not been cleared to be a full participant, Tua Tagovailoa sitting out due to back tightness reportedly and Bijan Robinson being in attendance, however not participating for what has been reported as “contract related” to James Pearce Jr. being a full participate, however taking majority of his reps with the second team defense, there were plenty storylines.
And while some would say the start to camp for the Falcons may not be off to a great start, newly acquired wide receiver, Jahan Dotson, provide reason for there to be optimism for the potential success of the team in 2026. “Offensively, we’ve got the guys,” Dotson told 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell as he joined them following Wednesday’s practice and explained why he believes the Falcons are equipped to win. “We have a lot of talent. Quarterback, running back, receiver, tight end, o-line, we truly have a lot of talent on offense on paper,” Dotson said.
“It’s all about putting it together,” Dotson adding, referencing his time with the Philadelphia Eagles during their 2025 championship run as an example of when players have the right mindset, a team can have a lot of success. “I’ve played on a team with a lot of talent and that’s not all it takes. It’s going to take the reps out in practice every day and one thing I can say about winning a Super Bowl, the way that season went, guys are practicing, guys are making sure they’re ready for Sundays. That’s when you see talent maxed to its full potential and I feel like we have that here.
