Maybe the panic button should be hit. At least that is what 92-9 The Game’s Mike Bell believes after he and cohost, Carl Dukes spoke with Audacy NFL insider and former NFL offensive tackle, Ross Tucker who joined the afternoon duo to share thoughts on the injury to Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman, Kaleb McGary.

“The reality is, most teams, the next guy up is a guy you can win with right,” Tucker said as he explained why McGary’s injury is concerning due to the fact Falcons’ backup swing tackle, Storm Norton, reportedly had ankle surgery early this week and is believed to out six to eight weeks.

“We used to have only have seven offensive linemen that dressed for the game. Now that they get a couple more guys, they dress eight. But the sixth and seventh guys are usually, the one inside guy and the one swing tackle, they need to be good enough that if they go in the game, they’re not the reason you lose the game,” Tucker continued.

“You start to get to the eighth and ninth guy, those guys usually haven’t played very much. Those guys can be the reason why you lose the game, so it’s a major, major concern. There’s no doubt about it,” Tucker said of McGary and Norton’s injury. “It’s very unfortunate that both those guys got hurt,” Tucker said.
