It's been a busy couple of days for Atlanta United since their 2-0 win over Philadelphia on Sunday as they have traded a former starter, added a French midfielder, and loaned out one of their U-22 Initiative players.
Tristan Muyumba insight 👇
The bevvy of recent moves began with Atlanta United sending Andrew Gutman to the Colorado Rapids for $400,000 in General allocation Money, although that total could reach as much as $550,000 if certain incentives are met.
Just a few hours after Atlanta United sent Gutman out, they brought in Tristan Muyumba, a defensive midfielder in France’s second division (EA Guingamp). Muyumba will have a number of hurdles to clear before he's able to help the team, including his work visa and confirming his fitness level.
To add to the moves being made by Garth Lagerwey and Carlos Bocanegra, just this morning it was announced that Franco Ibarra would be loaned out to an unnamed MLS club.
The MLS transfer window opened on Wednesday and United does have some roster spots available, so there could be more moves to come!
