Ozzie Albies is one of the best second baseman in the majors and among a select few who have the ability to switch-hit at the major league level, but many are wondering if he should give that up and focus solely on hitting from his stronger side.

Andy Bunker dove into the numbers and wonders if the disparity between Albies on the left side and right side could become large enough that Albies eventually does stop switch-hitting.

"In his career Ozzie Albies has been much better right-handed than left-handed, but not this much better. This year right-handed, batting .439 with an .842 slugging percentage and a 1.290 OPS," explains Andy Bunker. "Batting left-handed he's batting .171 with a .571 OPS, those are the splits."

Albies, is aware of the criticism and questions surrounding whether he should hit right-handed only, but he explained that he plans to keep switch-hitting.

The Braves face the Rangers tonight in the second game of a 3-game series and Texas is tossing right-hander Dane Dunning, so expect Ozzie to bat lefty tonight.
