The 2023 NFL Draft is only two months away and the Falcons have a few holes that they need to fill. With the No. 8 pick and $65 million in cap space, they look to be in decent shape to bring players onto the team that will make an immediate impact.

One of the spots the Falcons need the most help in is the defensive line. The Falcons were second to last in 2022 with only 21 sacks, 49 behind the league-leading Philadelphia Eagles.

There are a few players in the 2023 draft that stand out as players that could help out with that. But one of them is starting to separate himself from the rest of the pack: Will Anderson out of Alabama.

Anderson finished his three-year college career with 34.5 sacks and won several awards while at the University of Alabama. The Georgia native would be a great fit for the Atlanta Falcons, but there’s one really big problem: He won’t be available when the Falcons draft at pick 8.

Should the Falcons trade up to get him? It would take multiple picks to do so, but as NFL draft expert Emory Hunt tells Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael: “Anderson has the juice off of the edge… that’s the guy I want on my football team."
