Super Bowl Halftime shows are seldom a solo event (except when you’re Rihanna). But like most before him Kendrick Lamar has enlisted a pal to join him for performance, and it’s none other than his frequent collaborator and upcoming tourmate — SZA.

In a promotional clip shared on his social media accounts, Lamar is seen chatting on his cell in a football field, talking about how he has plans to bring another artist along during the performance.
"You know this field a lot bigger than people think so that's a must," Lamar says into the phone. "Exactly. Nah, I been thinking about a guest performer,” he states before getting cut off by SZA, who spills a cooler of blue Gatorade onto him in slow motion.
TBH, the guest appearance doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as the two have a solid little collection of collabs currently circulating including “Luther” and “Gloria” on Lamar’s surprise-released album GNX, and “30 for 30” off SZA’s more recently released SOS Deluxe: LANA.
Produced by DPS with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers, with pgLang providing creative direction, Kendrick’s performance will be his second during the halftime show, following his featured spot during Dr. Dre’s 2022 all-star tag team with Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent.
Super Bowl LIX, which airs on FOX this year, is set to take place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.
