Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot held his highly anticipated press conference on Thursday following the team's seventh-straight season missing the playoffs. Fontenot has been at the helm for four of those seasons and this one was by far the most disappointing after an offseason of great acquisitions and high expectations.

Here are the biggest talking points coming out of the presser:

-The team is comfortable with Kirk Cousins being the backup QB next season but will listen to trade offers and do their duties to explore opportunities
-Competition will likely be brought in for kicker Youngehoe Koo
-Coaching changes are just beginning to be evaluated
-Justin Simmons and Matthew Judon were not the "tipping point" players the team hoped for
-More pass-rush is needed for the defense to turn around
-Kirk Cousins was not injured at the time he was benched
-Kyle Pitts has not lived up to his rookie season standards
