Trae Young's deep 3's don't bother Coach Pierce (usually)

The Atlanta Hawks ended the Los Angeles Clippers seven-game winning streak on Tuesday night 108-99 behind 38 points from Trae Young.

Of the nearly 40 points dropped by Trae Young in the victory, three of them stood out above the rest.

Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce talked with John and Hugh about Trae's freedom to continue taking those shots and how he reacts and feels when he sees him pull up from way downtown.

"He's got the capability to knock those shots down and he did," says Coach Pierce. "The ones you don't like are the early ones, haven't got a pass, a heat-check shot. You want the defense to have to work and that's all I'm really concerned about.

"Make the defense work, I don't care what shot you take, let's just make the defense work before we decide to get a shot up."
