The Detroit native emerged from backstage to spit his verse on “Patiently Waiting,” about a half-hour into 50's show, resulting in a resounding roar from the 15,000-plus concert-goers. The duo followed up with their 2009 hit “Crack a Bottle.”
Eminem’s Sunday's appearance, while unannounced, and a delightful surprise, actually makes total sense considering the circumstances. As this is 50 Cent’s likely final show in Eminem’s backyard, it actually would have been more surprising if he hadn’t shown up.

After leaving the crowd in a frenzy, Eminem showed love to 50 Cent before departing the stage. “Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends I’ve ever known: 50 Cent!” The rapper said. “Make some noise for Hip-Hop’s 50th birthday, y’all — it’s still Hip-Hop’s 50th birthday. Detroit, I love y’all!”
After the show, 50 Cent took to Instagram to share a clip of the moment with his mentor and longtime collaborator. “Bro when I do anything with EM people just go crazy,” he penned in the caption. “They know he really my boy. I love him till death!”
