Earlier this week, The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced sixty names in the Seniors and Coaches/Contributors categories for 2024 consideration for enshrinement into the Hall.
Several names with ties to the history and current state of the Atlanta Falcons organization, Tommy Nobis, Mike Kenn and Rich McKay were on this list for 2024 and in with the next several years, names such as Matt Ryan and Julio Jones will someday get consideration.
Chris Goforth asked Will McFadden of the Falcoholic if he believed any of the former Falcon greats had a good chance to finally get the call form Canton, and Will was very honest in his responses.
“Mr. Falcon (Tommy Nobis) should absolutely be in” emphasized Will, and he followed that statement with some kind words about former Falcon OT Mike Kenn.
“Mike Kenn was so durable, he started for 17 seasons, image that” pointed out Will when going over the longtime Falcons offensive tackles resume.
When the conversation turned to some more recent Falcons players, Will and Chris both agreed that Matt Ryan will have a lot of debate on his Hall of Fame resume.
“If he had won that Super Bowl, he’s in the Hall of Fame. He did not” said Will when predicting Matt Ryan’s future chances of one day wearing a gold jacket.
Chris agreed by simply saying, “Hall of very good”
