Why do the Hawks play to their competition?

The Atlanta Hawks won a significant game in Toronto last night, but there's a troubling theme that has emerged with this team: they play up (and down) to their competition far too often.

The Atlanta Hawks exorcised some demons in Toronto last night with their 114-103 win over the Raptors. Scotiabank Arena has been a house of horrors for Atlanta, having not seen in a victory within those walls since December 16, 2016.

Despite injuries to key players and being on the second-half of a back-to-back (they arrived at their hotel at 3 AM following the international flight), the Hawks were unfazed.

Terrell Thomas joined Sam & Greg on Sunday morning after the big win and he identified a troubling theme for this team: they play up (and down) to their competition far to often.
