After the first round of the NFL Draft there are still plenty of big names left on the board that could end up falling to the Atlanta Falcons at 48 when the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft gets started tonight, and earlier today former Atlanta Falcons quarterback and now analyst for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network Dave Archer joined The Morning Shift and talked about how he thinks last night’s first round made the draft more complicated for the Falcons heading into round two.
“I don’t think it clears anything up. I could pick 10 guys right now.” Archer said
For the Falcons it’s a good problem to have because with the 48th overall pick there are still a number of teams in front of them that will pick tonight that can and probably will take some of the players they covet, so the more left on the board the better Atlanta’s chances are at getting one of the top guys on their draft board.
