Earlier this week NFL Draft Analyst Field Yates put out his latest mock draft, a two round mock draft, where he has the Atlanta Falcons drafting Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor with the 48th overall pick, and earlier today The Morning Shift reacted to Yates mocking the Falcons drafting an offensive tackle at 48.

“I just don’t know if it’s the type of pick for this team at 48. I kind of question it, but look if you believe in your heart this is a prove it year for this roster I’m fine with that kind of pick.” Beau Morgan said

Of course the Falcons are going to try and win no matter what, but if Atlanta drafts an offensive tackle with the 48th overall pick it will really show this year is more about figuring out which players will and won’t be a part of the team’s long term future than trying to make a playoff run.
