Hawks must get big this off season

As the NBA Playoffs continue, regardless of what happens for the Atlanta Hawks in their series with the New York Knicks, in which they trail 3-2, once they do enter into the offseason, they will need to address multiple areas of concern, with many of the belief, front court size, being the most important.

“Go get you a center,” former NBA player and coach and NBA analyst, Sam Mitchell said on Thursday when he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and shared his thoughts on the position of need for the Hawks must address this summer.

“Go get you a seven-one, two-hundred-and-seventy-pound guy,” Mitchell continued as he explained why the size alone of a player of that size can have an impact for the Hawks offensively and defensively. “You have to account it,” Mitchell said. If you go get you a legit center, you can play [Onyeka] Okongwu at the power forward some and Jalen Johnson at the three. You can be really big,” Mitchell said.
