Earlier today The Morning Shift reacted to the news that Atlanta Falcons edge rusher Jalon Walker suffered a torn ACL during an 11-on-11 play late in practice yesterday likely ending his 2026 season, and explained why they think Jalon Walker's torn ACL makes way for the Falcons to possibly reunite and bring back outside linebacker/edge rusher Leonard Floyd who was on the team last season.
“I would expect Leonard Floyd to probably get the first call just because he’s very familiar with the staff on the defensive side and kind of what you want to accomplish over there, and he would be, I think, a little bit cheaper.” Beau Morgan said
Floyd had 6 solo tackles, 13 assisted tackles, and 3.5 sacks in 15 games with the Falcons last season. The former Georgia Bulldog obviously wouldn’t fill the void of the Dawg the Falcons just lost for the season, but he would at least help fill it.
