Just six months after the devastating passing of his beloved 14-year-old Akita named Gabriel, Disturbed singer David Draiman was heartbroken over the weekend when his new pup went missing, although a happy ending has thankfully come from this latest ordeal.

On Sunday, October 1, the Disturbed frontman shared the heartbreaking news via social media that his adorable 10-week-old golden retriever, named Charlotte, was missing, writing in the caption, "It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I have to announce that our dear puppy, Charlotte has been missing since the morning before last. We think she was taken by someone/something when she was playing out in the yard." Draiman added he was offering a reward for anyone, "with any information on her whereabouts that leads to finding her."
Just a day later, the singer has been reunited with Charlotte, posting photos on X, and a note on Instagram explaining what went down.
"Someone found her roaming around on my block," Draiman says, adding he has since found her method of escape. After seeing the pup cross the street, he says her rescuers, "got out of their car and grabbed her... left signs all over the place about a lost dog." After being notified on social media about the signs, David called the number provided, passed their interrogation, and was quickly reunited with Charlotte.
"They asked me what color her collar was," he explained. "I said she didn't have one. They said 'Good, that was a trick question, you caught it.'" In the end, Draiman says he asked if he could give them anything, however "All they wanted was maybe the couple hundred they spent on food and toys for her for the two days she had been with them, which I gladly reimbursed. I was overwhelmed." Yeesh... golden retrievers, man.
Disturbed just wrapped another round of North American dates on their Take Back Your Life 2023 tour. The band's latest album, Divisive, is out now.
