Posting a shot of himself surrounded by an incredible rainbow stage lighting display, Josh says in his caption, "Where I’ve settled a home in Tennessee, legislators are proposing bills that threaten the freedom of love. It’s imperative that I speak my truth for not only myself, but in hopes to change hearts, minds, and laws in Tennessee and beyond."

Acknowledging the great strides in love and support he believes the LGBTQ+ community has received, the Greta Van Fleet frontman also recognized the work still necessary to further the cause. With discriminatory and restrictive legislation passed recently in his home state, and intolerance prevalent the world over, Josh shared a number of organizations he feels are "doing great work," including Human Rights Campaign and the ACLU, Inclusion TN, Oasis Center, and the Nashville Pride Festival.

"The LGBTQ+ community is a cultural pillar, constantly championing positivity and acceptance through art, music, literature, film, and most importantly, legislation," Josh adds. "The greatest mortal gift of all is our capacity to love and as we travel through time, may our greater understanding of the matter around and within us teach us to love ever deeper."

GVF is currently on tour in support of their forthcoming 2023 album, Starcatcher, set for release on July 21. Hear more about the new record straight from the band right HERE. Tickets are on sale now.
