Join the Pittsburgh Penguins as they recognize Black History Month with special community spotlight honorees, videos, performances, concourse displays, and photo backdrops.

The Pittsburgh Penguins honor Black History Month every February with a special Black Hockey History Game. Throughout the month, we engage our community through virtual and in-person programming that celebrates the contributions of Black leaders and change-makers. These events highlight inspiring stories of resilience and connect fans through their shared passion for hockey.

Programs feature NHL players, executives, community leaders, and Penguins front office staff, fostering unity and celebration. Additionally, fans can engage with diverse organizations at concourse activation tables during the game. This Black History Month, be part of a movement that celebrates and educates as we come together to honor the profound impact of Black individuals in hockey and beyond.

The Black Hockey History Game raised $11,379, benefiting Foundation youth diversity initiatives, including Stop the Violence Jubilee Parade and Pittsburgh I.C.E.
