Professor Reginald Muhammad stepped into The Movement to discuss Reparations with Dr. F. Keith Slaughter. Reginald Muhammad was born in Tallahassee, Florida and re-located to St. Petersburg, Florida in his early childhood. He is both a Behavioral and Political Scientist at Joip-Nkrumah Institution to teach political studies located here in Atlanta, Georgia. Professor Muhammad also served as a Veteran Member in the Nation of Islam. He authored the book, “In Fear of Leading”, as his work has been featured online, national and in local newspapers. Professor Reginald Muhammad has actively been working on the Reparations Movement for over 25 years, and has successfully published his Master’s thesis, “The Movement to Secure Reparations for Blacks in America: An Analysis of Fragmented Models and Methodologies”.
Professor Muhammad has excelled beyond measures in his career. He has received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wilberforce University. He earned his commission in the United States Army after completing his Military Science Program at Central State University. It doesn’t just stop there for Professor Muhammad; he earned his Master’s Degree in Political Science from Clark Atlanta University. His completed memberships feature: The National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America, Prince Hall Free and Accepted Mason, National Conference of Black Political Scientists, and Alpha Phi Fraternity Inc.
Professor Muhammad even went onto work personally with the Crips and the Bloods for over a decade as a mediator/mentor to end violence between the Street Gangs.
