The 2025 MLB All-Star Week kicked off with a star-studded swing as celebrities from music, sports, and entertainment took the field for the highly anticipated MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game — and the energy was nothing short of electric.
Held at Truist Park, the stadium was buzzing with fans of all ages, to see this celebrity showdown featuring an all-star lineup from across the cultural spectrum. Representing Atlanta in true hometown fashion were hip-hop heavyweights Quavo and Coach Jermaine Dupri, alongside Grammy-winning powerhouse Kandi Burruss and ESPN’s Elle Duncan. Rounding out the diverse roster were NFL legend Terrell Owens, viral comedians Druski and Funny Marco, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, and many more.
As the host of Good Vibes with Ms. Eclectic, I had the opportunity to be on-site before and during the game with media access with a big Thanks to Comcast — and let’s just say the vibes were immaculate! One of the highlights of the day was during the pre game media blitz, even with a little chaos, catching up with on-field “rivals” Kandi Burruss and Ron DeVoe, who brought their signature ATL flavor and a little friendly competition to the diamond. But beyond the laughs, selfies, and epic plays, this game had heart. The MLB Celebrity Softball Game continued its longstanding commitment to community, benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, celebrating a remarkable 30-year partnership that has impacted millions of youth nationwide.
In the end, it was the American team that claimed victory over the Nationals, with none other than legendary pitcher CC Sabathia earning MVP honors for his big bat and even bigger personality on the field.
