In a grand celebration of achievement and community impact, the Live Healthy & Thrive Youth Foundation's (LHTYF) 13th Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala took place on Saturday, December 2nd at the Conference Center at Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston, just outside of Atlanta. Emphasizing LHTYF's commitment to educating, empowering, and equipping children in the Atlanta community with healthy lifestyle habits, the evening was a remarkable testament to their dedication.

Adding to the excitement of the event was a special appearance by the talented artist, 2benjii. Renowned for his impressive resume, which includes being featured on major TV series such as Confession Box, 2benjii's multifaceted skills and commitment to empowerment and activism set him apart. As an Atlantan native and first-generation high school/college graduate, Chris Smith, professionally known as 2benjii, embodies the spirit of success and serves as an inspiration to the youth. He recently earned his degree in Mass Communication from Savannah State University, further fueling his passion for media and communication.

During his college years, Smith's involvement with various organizations shaped his journey and honed his skills. As the president of the Way of Real Discovery, a communicative arts organization, he honed his creative thinking skills. Smith also excelled as a radio personality and director advisor at WSSU 104.1 FM SSU Radio, combining his passion for radio and journalism. Additionally, he served as a member of the Student Orientation Organization, where he honed his leadership abilities.

After graduation, Smith pursued a career in media, becoming a producer for the award-winning "Rashad Richey Morning Show" at News and Talk 1380 WAOK. He has now reached the position of Senior Producer. He also produces "The Dr. Rashad Richey Review" on SiriusXM Urban View.

Along with his media commitments, Smith serves as a program director for "Creating Creative Creatives" at the RaineyDayFund non-profit organization and holds the position of Director of Operations at Our Black Media Network.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Smith nurtures his creative agency, 2benjii Ent., offering aspiring creatives resources and opportunities that have shaped his own journey. Smith's dedication to empowering others and using his platform to make a positive difference aligns perfectly with LHTYF's mission.

As the evening progressed, attendees enjoyed a delectable gourmet dinner buffet curated by Chef Kitura of All About the Minis and were serenaded by the enchanting melodies of Kim Strings and Jennifer Allen, creating an ambiance of elegance and celebration. The event also featured a live auction, officiated by TV One's media personality, Marissa Daniel, which generated excitement and raised funds to support LHTYF's mission.

The 13th Annual Pinnacle Awards & Scholarship Gala truly embodied the essence of LHTYF's mission and the spirit of unity. Guests left inspired and motivated, knowing that their involvement would make a difference in the lives of deserving high school seniors and support LHTYF's ongoing efforts to promote healthy habits among Atlanta's youth.
