Learning to Chill Out is the Best Recipe for the Burned Out, Anxious, and Overworked

ANGELA D. COLEMAN

This week, On Point with Juandolyn Stokes welcomed her chillest guest ever, Angela D. Coleman, holistic health expert and author of "The Art of Chilling Out for Women."

Coleman offered women a laundry list of ways they can learn chill out to by using affirmations, moving our bodies, listening to our intuition, creating sacred spaces, or just simply engaging in play to relax.

"We show up healthy when we chill out and not learning to chill out can lead to disease," said Coleman; her new book offers over 100 ways to do just that.

Coleman also reminded listeners that spiritual healing-mind, body, and spirit is all about energy, which we must maintain and protect.

Coleman has training in clinical psychology, trauma, and natural well-being.

According to Coleman, we must learn to give ourselves permission to do nothing because doing nothing is something; it gives you a chance to visualize and the stillness can give you answers to questions you seek.

Coleman has written over 20 books on similar topics, and she is the founder of the global nonprofit, Sisterhood Agenda and now the Sisterhood Agenda Enterprises, LLC.
