“The Level Up Experiment” is Coming to Aspire TV and will Feature Students from the AUC

TV Executive and Filmmaker, Edford Banuel is launching a new HBCU reality series, “The Level Up Experiment” on Aspire TV in 2024. The reality series will highlight students from the Atlanta University Center (AUC).

“The Level Up Experiment” uniquely combines competition, industry insights, and personal development aiming to help students and the viewing audience “Level Up” their skills for success in both academic and professional sphere,” said Banuel.

Banuel was inspired by his early introduction to the arts and plays, which sparked his interest in filmmaking. He was influenced by filmmakers Spike Lee and John Singleton.

Banuel said his goal was to create a production that celebrated everything Black and brown.

“I want to be that voice that tells diverse stories about Black excellence, and inspire other up and coming filmmakers,” said Banuel.

Funding for these projects typically takes years; “It took us eight months to come to life,” he added.

You can check out “The Level Experiment” sometime around the third quarter of next year.
