The front grille, mirror caps, door handles, rear spoiler, rear diffuser, shark fin antenna, and badging all receive the blackout treatment. The Supersonic Red paint on my tester proved to be the perfect complement to the package. During my week behind the wheel, the vehicle attracted considerably more attention than most midsize sedans ever receive. More than once, someone asked what it was or commented on its appearance.
That's not something I've historically associated with the Toyota Camry.

The Nightshade Edition benefits from the SE's sport-tuned suspension, which delivers sharper responses than the LE or XLE trims while maintaining the comfortable ride quality that Camry buyers expect. It remains a family sedan first, but one that feels more composed and confident when the road begins to curve.
Fuel economy remains one of the Camry's strongest selling points. The EPA rates the AWD Nightshade at 46 MPG city, 46 MPG highway, and 46 MPG combined.
In many ways, the Camry Nightshade represents the best of both worlds. Buyers receive the efficiency and long-term ownership advantages of hybrid technology while still enjoying the confident performance expected of a modern midsize sedan.

Inside, the Camry continues its move upmarket.
