Young adults across Georgia are being invited to take part in a leadership program designed to help them build skills, connect with others and create positive change in their communities.
The Emerging Leaders for Community Change program is accepting applications from people ages 18 to 30 who want to become more involved in civic leadership and community initiatives. The program welcomes participants from all backgrounds and focuses on developing the next generation of leaders.
Participants will receive training from experts on topics including effective leadership, community building and bringing people together across different perspectives. The program also gives young leaders the opportunity to build a network with other emerging leaders of faith throughout Georgia and beyond.
Those selected will work together to design and launch local projects aimed at making a lasting impact in their communities. Organizers say the goal is to equip young adults with the tools and connections needed to turn ideas into action.
The initiative is led by Faith Forward Democracy Georgia and the Georgia Democracy Resilience Network, with support from The Carter Center.
Applications for the program are due Aug. 18, 2026. Organizers encourage young adults interested in strengthening their communities and developing leadership skills to apply.
