Atlanta police say a woman who was kidnapped in the early morning hours Friday has been found dead.
Police say they received a call around 5 a.m. Friday from a man saying a woman had apparently been forced into a vehicle on Burroughs Street.
The kidnapping occurred in the Chosewood Park area in southeast Atlanta near the woman's home.
About an hour after the reported kidnapping APD says they received a report of shots being fired near Lakewood Avenue and Terrace Way.
It was around 10 a.m. Friday when investigators say they found the body of the woman identified only as being in her 20s.
A person of interest is in custody.
No other details were made available.
