You can add positions in public safety to the opportunities available to those seeking jobs in metro Atlanta.
The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, or NOBLE, is hosting a public safety career fair from 10am-2pm on Tuesday, November 15, at Atlanta Metropolitan State College.
Natalie Ammons, President of the Georgia Chapter of NOBLE, says more than 35 agencies are registered to participate in the career fair. In addition to uniformed positions, Ammons says "public safety agencies recruit for many other positions. For example, the GBI is currently recruiting special agents, but also for medical examiners, finance, and IT professionals." Ammons adds that the Fulton County Office of Solicitor General is recruiting for trial attorneys. Those are just two of the agencies that she says will be represented on Tuesday,
Those registered to participate in the career fair also include local, state, and federal law enforcement, fire rescue, and 911 dispatch.
As for who should attend the public safety career fair, Ammons says “You would be surprised how many degrees and skills transfer over to public safety that you’ve never thought about." She encourages everyone to attend.
The career fair is free and open to the public. For a list of participating agencies and more information, visit www.ganoble.org/2022-career-fair.
