Drive the GT of tomorrow…today!

Yep…it looks like it's already been decided.  The future is electric.  And that means economy hyper-milers…pickups…family sedans, and SUVs…pretty much everything will soon be electric.

But no worries…those of us who appreciate performance won't be left out.

Here's proof:

KIA's new EV6 GT is a perfect look "around the corner" at the type of performance the future will offer.   And you don't have to wait…it's available today.

If the beefy 255 / 40 / 21 Goodyear Eagles don't give the GT away, the neon brake calipers probably will.

But aside from those above touches, KIA's GT let's performance…not trim packages…tell its story.

Let's start with 576 HP…345 ft-lbs of torque…and 0-60 in 3.4 seconds.   What kind of neighborhood does that put KIA's EV6 GT in?   Let's not name-drop…but it's a neighborhood full of European and USA six-figure and above supercars.

And in some ways, it's fair to say that KIA's EV6 GT might be even more "super" than those so-called supercars.

Why?

Because the EV6 GT is a roomy 5-passenger with plenty of rear seats leg room, and a hatch that can swallow 50+ cu ft with the rear seats down.

Creature comforts?

Sure.

KIA gives you heated eco-friendly suede seating front and rear, heated steering…14-speaker Meridian premium sound…heads-up display…a panoramic sunroof…remote parking assist…the ability to pre-heat and cool…and all of today's expected phone compatibility and alerts and warnings.

Need a little more?   If you can't put it on your optional roof rack, you can tow up to 2,300 lbs with your EV6 GT.

And how about "fill-ups"?   That's where the GT differs from the more typical 50K EV6s.   While they'll get you a little over 300 miles down the road, the AWD GT is good for around 200.    BUT…with over 41,000 charging stations across the country…and more on the way…charging is rapidly becoming less of an issue.

And with its ability for high-speed charging, you can "fill up" to 80% in around 20 minutes.    I had to stop for a fast quick charge and was surprised to have added about 60 miles of range for under two bucks.    With a comparable gas-engined GT, those 60 miles would have required around three gallons….maybe 9-12 dollars, depending upon where you live.

Now "normal" EV6s are no slouch…still able to go from 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

The GT, however, just cannot be called "normal."

It's an extraordinary combination of capability and performance for less than 63 thousand…and you can prove it.  If you've got friends with supercars, invite them over and "take charge."
