Too Much Truth with Derick Boazman hosted an impactful Brother 2 Brother event, highlighting the essence of camaraderie, responsibility, and self-care among Black men. The event, held at the station’s vibrant studios, drew a diverse crowd of men from all walks of life, all eager to engage in meaningful conversations about their experiences and challenges. The spotlight of the evening were our guests: the soulful singer Eric Benet, the charismatic actor Lamman Rucker, and the insightful Dr. Carl Milner. Their presence added depth and resonance to the discussions, each bringing their unique perspectives to the conversation.

The panel fielded questions from our audience and spread the message of uplifting your black brother and staying strong against the many temptations life has to offer. Derrick knows that men sometimes don't speak out about their personal issues and the culture of toxic masculinity within the male community runs rampant and may shade the choices we make. Entertainers like Lamman Rucker and Eric Benet spoke directly to living with temptation while simultaneously keeping a happy home while Dr Carl Milner spoke some harsh truths in regards to the health of our community and made one thing clear. GET TESTED. Get your prostate checked. Get regular std panels. Take advantage of free health screenings. In 2024 we are at the pinnacle of modern medicine, take advantage of that of that fact.

Derrick Boazman works with groups like Black Man Labs and Let Us Make Man on the regular because, he believes the only way to ensure a future worth while is to allow the next generation to learn form our mistakes. As a teacher of that next generation this will not be the last time he calls black men to action and it won't be the last time they show up.
