Morehouse School of Medicine

In observance of National Women's History Month and as part of our ongoing collaboration with Morehouse School of Medicine. The Rashad Richey Morning Show welcomed Dr. Tabia Akintobi, Chair of the Department of Community Health & Preventive Medicine, to discuss a historic occasion on April 5, 2023. At MSM's National Center for Primary Care, 720 Westview Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA 30310, in the Auditorium from 1 to 5:30 p.m.

A Blumenthal Public Health Conference will soon be powered by Morehouse School of Medicine. "We are here to serve with and by communities. There is no way we can accomplish that if we solely listen to what Dr. Knows Best," Dr. Akintobi continued by outlining specifics and next actions for how they are supporting their community and how to do so going forward. "Our communities that we connect with are not just advising us but also leading us on how to best engage with them. Fellowship funds, food, and most importantly learning what healthy lifestyle means and receiving some critical information from respectable persons, some of whom will actually be coming nationally," added Dr. Akintobi in her explanation of what to expect from the event on April 5.

As it should come as no surprise that Morehouse School of Medicine is among the top medical schools, their direct community approach to resolving community problems enables them to develop closer relationships with their patients and provide more direct assistance than many other medical schools can.
