SiMan Stay Positive Foundation Hosts Annual Community Health Fair at Greenbriar Mall

ATLANTA, GA — On a recent episode of Wake Up with Dee on News & Talk WAOK, host Dr. Dee Dawkins-Haigler welcomed a special guest: Silas "Lex" Alexander IV of the SiMan Stay Positive Foundation. The lively and heartfelt interview centered around the Foundation's upcoming Annual Community Health Fair, which will take place on Saturday, August 30th at Greenbriar Mall in Southwest Atlanta.

The event, which kicks off at 10:00 a.m., promises a day filled with fun, education, and essential health services—all free and open to the public. From health screenings and wellness resources to family-friendly activities and community outreach, the health fair is designed to empower Atlanta residents with the tools and support they need to stay healthy and thrive.

The SiMan Stay Positive Foundation was established in memory of the beloved radio personality Silas "SiMan" Alexander III, whose voice and presence made a lasting impact on Atlanta and beyond. Lex Alexander, SiMan's son and a driving force behind the foundation, shared on the show how the health fair is just one way they're continuing his father's mission to uplift, educate, and support the community.

"This foundation is about keeping my dad's spirit alive through service," said Lex. "He believed in giving back, supporting people's health, and lifting up our community. That's what this health fair—and everything we do—is all about."

Through its work, the SiMan Stay Positive Foundation supports a wide array of organizations that were close to SiMan's heart, including the March of Dimes, the Sickle Cell Foundation, the Diabetes Association of Atlanta, Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless, the South Metro Chapter of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, the United Way of Metro Atlanta, and Morehouse School of Medicine's Pancreatic Cancer Research program, among others.

As an independent organization, the Foundation also seeks out unique opportunities to create lasting change through education, mentoring, healthcare access, and charitable giving.

Whether you're seeking information on managing diabetes, learning more about sickle cell awareness, or simply looking for a fun, healthy day out with the family, this community health fair is the place to be.
