The United Way of Greater Atlanta Invites You to Their 17th Annual Tax Credit Awareness Day

Economy Jackson, Director if Asset Building Income for the United Way of Greater Atlanta was a guest on, On Point with Juandolyn Stokes to invite listeners to their virtual 17th Annual Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Awareness Day on Friday, January 27, 2023.
According to Jackson, The IRS estimates only four out five workers claim the EITC they earned.  As a result, taxpayers leave money on the table every year when they are unaware of the benefits of EITC.  The IRS and the United of Greater Atlanta are trying to reach the masses to share valuable information on this and other refundable tax credits they may be eligible to receive.
Even those who do not owe taxes can claim their tax credits and use that money to assist with common expenses like rent, utilities, gas, and groceries.
