It has been 1 year since Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man was killed by a White former law enforcement officer and his son, but for his mother, Wanda Cooper Jones, it is as if it happened yesterday. The wounds are still fresh for this mother who still grieves over the losing her son over an antiquated citizens arrest law, the duo used as pretext for gunning Arbery down the street. Jones applauds Governor Kemp's effort to revisit the law that is ripe for misuse by average citizens. She wants her son to be remembered for change and love.
