In today's high-tech, high-speed world, consumers expect more from their vehicles than simply a convenient way to get around. They want to get things done swiftly and easily. That's why many of them turn to electric vehicles as an alternative to their traditional internal combustion engine counterparts. But if Electrical Vehicles (EVs) are ever going to gain widespread acceptance, they must have sufficient infrastructure in place — a fact that Sheryl Ponds knows all too well.

In this interview, Daryl Killian talked in-depth with Sheryl Ponds, founder and CEO of Dai Technologies Corporation (DaiTechCorp), about being the first Black and woman-owned company dedicated to EV charging infrastructure and accessibility and how her company plans to address the gap in the market for equitable EV charging infrastructure.

DaiTechCorp is a Washington, DC, region-based company founded by Ponds in 2018 and has strategic relationships with leading brands within the EV ecosystem — including Enelx X Way and InCharge Energy. She's working on expanding its reach even further into the future.
