You can vote in this election if you're over age 18 and were registered by October 4. You must have an approved form of ID which includes: a Georgia
Driver's License (expired is accepted), a valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, a valid U.S. passport, valid tribal photo ID, or a valid U.S. military photo ID.
A runoff election will be held on November 30 if no candidate receives 50 plus 1 percent of the vote.
There are 14 candidates running to be the next mayor of Atlanta. A majority of the candidates participated in a candidates' forum moderated by Audacy Atlanta's Maria Boynton on September 21, 2021.
The forum was presented by the National Panhellenic Council of Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta chapter of the NAACP.
