Falcons O-line connection pivotal in success of offense
The last two weeks have been quite the story for the Atlanta Falcons after a rough start to the season in which they lost in Weeks 1 and 2, only to turn around earn two road victories as they defeated the Green Bay Packers 35-14 in Week 3 and the New Orleans Saints 45-24 in Week 4.
And while the return of Michael Penix Jr., who missed the first two games of the season as he continued to work his way back from a partial ACL tear last season, has been part of the focal point to the Falcons offense playing well, having produced 447 rushing yards, 471 passing yards and eight rushing touchdowns.
“I think the connection that we’re having as a group, to then go and have the success we’ve had the last two weeks has been one of the best feelings and probably the most fun I’ve had playing in the NFL,” Falcons guard said as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes and Mike Bell and explained why he believes the relationship of the offensive line unit has played a role in their success in Weeks 3 and 4.
“To have that relationship with each other and rooting for success and actually have that, was special,” Lindstrom continued. “you go out and you watch Bijan [Robinson] create these explosive plays, you see Mike [Penix Jr.] growing and growing in confidence and hitting these explosive shots to Drake [London].
all it does is continue to feed your confidence without losing site of the details to being efficient in everything we’re doing and not shooting ourselves in the foot, keeping the chains moving.
