Lately it seems like the Falcons fan base has been split between getting Bijan Robinson more touches and getting Tyler Allgeier more touches. Well, it turns out they are actually getting the same amount of opportunities. The Morning Shift broke it down Wednesday.
Allgeier has tallied 116 rushing attempts through nine games. Robinson has 103. When it comes to receiving, the rookie is targeted much more, 41 times versus 16 for Allgeier.
Now, you can make the argument that Bijan needs the ball in the red zone more because as of right now he only has two carries in the red zone this season.
However, last Sunday against the Vikings, Robinson and Allgeier both carried the ball or were thrown at 21 percent of the time. Arthur Smith has done a good job of getting both running backs the ball an equal amount. Now the guys just have to continue to make the most of their touches.
