Kyle Pitts just can't seem to get things going this season the way he had them going in his rookie season, and while some of the early blame was placed on QB Marcus Mariota, that storyline is changing slightly after a poor showing in Sunday's loss to the Chargers.
After an early dropped pass, a route where he seemingly quit running, and a deep pass when he may have expected a different pass, questions arose about the disconnect on both ends and 92.9 The Game Falcons Reporter Joe Patrick feels those questions are fair.
"It's a shared responsibility between Mariota and Pitts to be on the same page with one another, and it's important to remember that Kyle Pitts is still only 21 years old, still working on perfecting his craft as well," says Joe Patrick. "It really comes down to fine points, and I think that's easy to forget that he's growing and developing and that means sometimes he's going to have games like he had on Sunday."
While Kyle Pitts has scored more TD's this season (2) than he did last season (1), he's nowhere close to the pace he was on last season when he went over 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie.
