The Atlanta Falcons are participating in hate week again as they are set to face the New Orleans Saints in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. There are so many storylines leading up to this game.
One of them is if the offensive line can protect Matt Ryan up front. If they want to win this football game, there is no way that can afford to give up eight sacks like they did in the last contest. Not only do they have to protect Ryan, they also have to be able score in the red zone.
The Falcons are ranked 27th in red zone scoring percentage, which puts them near the bottom of the league. Tori McElhaney, of The Athletic, joined The Jon Chuckery Show to discuss whether or not the Falcons can be successful in the red zone against the Saints.
"I'm not 100% sold yet on them being able to score in the red zone against a defense like the Saints," McElhaney said.
The Falcons defense gave this offense a short field to work with last week against the Las Vegas Raiders by forcing five turnovers. The Falcons scored 43 points which was their highest scoring game this season. If that is the recipe for a win for the Falcons, they will definitely have to apply to their division rival to come out on top.
