Earlier today The Morning Shift was reacting to NFL Draft Analyst for The Athletic Dane Brugler’s seven round mock draft and who all he has the Atlanta Falcons drafting, and in the sixth round, 215th overall pick, Brugler has the Falcons drafting Washington Huskies offensive lineman Carver Willis, and former Falcons offensive lineman and now Co-Host on The Morning Shift Mike Johnson explained why he thinks Willis is “tailor-made” for the Falcons offense.
“I do think that he can be a guard, probably a center at an elite level with his ability to run block. If he can just get the snaps down I mean he is tailor made to be a center in this offense” Mike said
Ryan Neuzil has been and will continue to be a good serviceable option at center for the Falcons, but it definitely wouldn’t hurt, and honestly the Falcons should be thinking about building up the depth behind Neuzil, and being able to draft a versatile offensive lineman like Willis in the later rounds would be a great value pick by General Manager Ian Cunningham and the Falcons.
