The frustrating way the Falcons lost to the Vikings pushed some of the QB discussion aside in favor of play-calling and usage rates, but as the team turns their attention to the Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals heading into a bye week afterwards, one question does remain, what's the teams plan at QB coming out of the bye week.
Arthur Smith has said that after seeing Taylor Heinicke for 2 and a half games (assuming he plays the entirety on Sunday), he'll have enough on tape to make his decision moving forward between Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke, but Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael thinks a story that the Falcons Head Coach told Dukes and Bell gave them enough insight to expect that Desmond Ridder will return as the Falcons signal caller.
Ridder was replaced by Taylor Heinicke at halftime of the game against the Tennessee Titans, partially due to medical concerns, but also because of turnovers and performance, and the hope is that some of the issues that Ridder had fallen into may improve after some time on the sidelines, especially the turnovers.
